The Story Of Negroni
The cocktail Negroni born in 1919 in Florence, thanks to the Conte (count) Camillo Negroni, he was a noble that traveled a lot in Uk, USA and I’m sure that he loved cocktail.
So one night he went at the caffè Casoni (closed now) and asked at Fosco Scarselli to serve him a stronger version of the Americano, replacing the soda with gin to honoured his last travel in UK.
The barman decided to add a slice of orange instead the lemon, the cocktail of course was a success so they decided that will be on the menu with the name of the Conte (Count) Negroni.
The only sad part of this story is the fact that the Caffè Casoni is closed now, it would have been great go in the same place where the Negroni born.
I think I’m the only one in the world that don’t like Negroni, it’s really too bitter for my taste.
Negroni recipe:
3 cl (1/3) gin
3 cl (1/3) bitter
3 cl (1/3) Sweet Vermouth
A slice of orange
The cocktail it's in the pre-dinner category, but remember that Count Negroni loved very strong alcoholic drinks, so I recommend it more for after dinner.
The ease of preparation is incredible, it is prepared directly in the glass, in a few steps.
Pour ice into a low tumbler, cool it, drain the water, pour in all the ingredients and then mix.
Complete with a slice of orange.
This is the classic recipe, but at home every rule is valid, change the type of glass, add an extra slice of orange, do not drain the water or use more ice if you want it lighter.
Now I would know if u like Negroni?Did u already know that it is so easy to make?
Like always THANK U to all the subscribers new and old if u liked it press on the ❤️ and feel free to share it with everyone.

I absolutely adore Negronis! In fact it's very interesting you post this now, since my brother and I have just been on a quest to find the ideal Negronis on a weekend trip we've enjoyed immensely.
We had four each last night in a wonderful place where I can say they were the best!. Very bitter and also some smoke added, which we loved.
And yes, my head was very sore this morning, but completely worth it!
I'm sharing this post with my Negroni loving friends! 🥰😁
